Today is International Women's Day so I wanted to celebrate one of the most inspirational, strong, supportive and caring women I know. Women's Day, to me, is about coming together to lift each other up. It's about celebrating and encouraging one another. And the first person that came to mind when I was thinking about this post was Neyna.
Neyna is, in a word, stunning. In literally every sense. She is an amazing mom of two gorgeous girls, an incredible artist, she's smart and funny and she has the biggest heart in the world. She continuously stuns me at how fierce she is. Neyna is also fighting like hell against cancer. She has done four rounds of chemo, endured surgeries that have changed her body forever, countless treatments and medications and through it all she's remained such a positive beam of light for her babies. She's a hero and I am so proud of her.
I wanted to share a few favorites from my session with her in June. I had done a model call for boudoir and I encouraged people that felt their bodies aren't represented enough to apply. I was so thrilled when Neyna reached out for this. She had recently undergone a huge surgery and was still getting comfortable with her new body. She told me that bodies with Ostomy bags are definitely underrepresented and she would love to do a session.
So here are just a few favorites from her session!
